If you are actively involved in any kind of Christian music ministry, be it something as basic as playing bass on the Sunday Morning praise team at your home church, to anything as grand as being in a globally famous, globally renowned, globally touring Christian band, any style of music from adult contemporary, to the heaviest of the heavy, to the wierdest of the wierd, or anywhere in-between, so long as the lyrical content, and band mission is biblically focused, then stand up and be counted! (Literally, I will be assigning member#s)
Tell us about your ministy, about how long you've been in it, about what kind of music you do, are you more praisey, more preachy, a little of both, are your lyrics real literal, or more symbolic, more overt, or more vague. Share any pics, flix, or sound clips you have.
The bible calls us to be united as the body of Christ, and what better way for people who are a) Christian b) Bassists, and c) giving some degree (anywhere from a little bit, to everything they have) of their lives to music ministry, music to reach the lost and encourage the found, to unite than to have a club?! | |

played my new bass tonight @ P&W band practice and man it's just awesome
light cleaning, lowered the action and it just sounded awesome
no clue what kind of strings it has on it nor how old they are but they sounded good
silly question BUT anyone have a clue by the pics what the string could be - medium gauge roundwounds

Has anyone here ever play in their PW band using cordless hookup on their Bass versus cord plug into amp? If so...is there any sound loss or difference in sound? Pros vs Cons? Other than I think it's be great to be able to move around more freely and not be stepping on your amp cord.

I've not ventured wireless yet.

I also am the primary sound guy, so this way I can walk to the FOH and list to and adjust our sound.

MX | Oh right...thanks! I have a 8' & 15' cord. I get where after awhile I get tired of stepping over cords all over the stage from other guitars/mics/floor monitors. I'm working with the sound board engineer to try and re-wire the stage or go wireless. Limited budget of course...

Whether or not it will transmit low A flat through E flat on a 5 string.... I don't know. But he really likes to be free from wires. Me ... I don't mind the cables I generally use a 15', but I have a 10' that I used to use.

| | | | What's up, gang? I'm at work right now (5:30 PM 'til 6:00 AM) and what a week. I'll be glad when this one is over.
I'll be playing this Sunday and starting in June I'll also be playing bass in one of the other teams at church as well thru the end of August. So that means I'll be playing three Sundays instead of my usual two. It will be tiring due to my hours, but very uplifting as well. |

By the way... I see you guys do a lot of Paul Wilbur...I have his Lion of Judah CD... I love it! It's a refreshing break from some of the regular rockin' Pentacostal stuff we do @ church. |

my lead is 20 ft, however.... no issue at all for the active basses I normally play... the only passive is a P-bass...and who misses top end on a P-bass? Not me |

It unfortunately died a couple months ago, and Im back with a cord. I wouldnt use anything but a bass specific wireless because almost all the others (that Ive seen) have a frequency response starting at 50hz-that doesnt even go down to a low E. I play a 5'er and need a bit more than that. The only exception that I have found is the new line-6 stuff. Not only is it digital (which is really cool) but its freq response starts at 10hz-which is below audible. I just wish I could conjure up the change for that.
