I put this bass together at least 6 months ago and she's gone with me to EVERY gig since. I figured I'd post her. She's one of the meanest playing and sounding Jazz basses I've ever played and has ZERO neck dive (prob due to the heavy Fender body and very heavy 2-Tek bridge).
Parts list:
1992 (as I recall) Fender MIA '62 RI body professionally routed for a 2-Tek bridge
2-Tek Bridge Installed
Bacchus Custom Shop Jazz neck w flame maple board (done to exact Fender specs including widths, lawsuit headstock, neck plate mounting holes, etc)
Fender 60's Custom Shop Jazz Pickups
Audere Pre-amp
Fender 3-Ply replacement guard
Schallar Strap Locks
When I put her together, it was like an EXACT fit puzzle. Everything bolted up exactly without ANY modding at all. Neck was a perfect fit, even the pickguard was, etc.
Action is SUPER low and free of buzz. Neck is like silk mixed with butter. Fast and slick! Sickest Jazz I've played. Only downside to this bass is the weight. 11ish lbs...
I just had to share!!!!
