Nice Lakland. If you sell that one you'll be sorry :scowl:

I'll be honest, she hasn't left the house since I got my LG-5 and now that I have a KBP-5 and I am trying to ramp up my DB gigs. Still a great bass though!

I don't think I'll be selling her but she's not getting the time she once did....

BUMP for a great cab and a great guy to deal with

Thanks squid! It is a killer cabinet.

The 80 year staircase into my basement which is pretty darn close a ladder doesn't lend itself well to any 4x10 cabinet. Man you should have watched me struggle with the NV215...

My apt is ground level so my SA410 is a piece-a-cake.
I'd never sell this cab. Easy to maneuver, tight, tight but vintage sound, very clean though. Btw, Peter, the SA410 sounds NICE with upright.
Natural sound, just huge. I had a loud free jazz gig with one of my bands.
Used the SA410 for the unaffected tone, a couple 12's for EFX with a stereo head.
Lots of gear, but, what a sound.

A couple M-Lines could be nice instead of.

Oh I know it sounds great with upright, the problem is I do virtually zero upright gigs where a 4x10 cabinet enters the equation. I am happy to be receiving my second VL208 very soon that will cover just about anything and in my opinion is one of the few cabinets that sound better then the SA410 with upright.

How does it sound in comparison to the Berg?

It is very similar to the Berg HS410 but is attuated in the low end to better match the SA200. That design change worked great for my Glock HR and Epifani heads which also have a fairly wide open low end. Don't get me wrong it can get massive down low if you EQ that in...

For those of you lucky enough to own an SA200 this is the cabinet for you.

IME, this cab also sounds great with heads other than the SA200... I have used this cab with Ampeg SVT-CL, GK 700RB-II, Markbass F1 and Mesa Big Block 750 heads and it sounds great with all of them.

I no longer gig with anything else. The SA410 is the best cab I have ever owned and my 3 Ampeg cabs are used for rehearsal only.

Someone buy this.:bassist:

P.S. It isn't that large/heavy a cab. I carry it up and down the 15-20 stairs from my basement weekly.

Free bump Peter.

My earlier comments that the cab sounded nice with upright was a bonus. Just like the Berg HT112.
But, I use my SA410 for all my bigger rock, funk, blues gigs.
I sold my UL410 for it and never looked back.

I use either an Ashdown, Ampeg or Walter Woods head.

I've had Aguilar, SWR, Epifani & Ampeg 410's.
The Sadowsky blows them away. Tight. Detailed. Can do old skool or modern.

Jim Bergantino is da man!
